Governer Newsom has passed a new law that will take effect in June 2023 that will allow people who have been previously imprisoned for a period of time to now expunge their record in California. Due to the massive amounts of people who now qualify under the new ordinance, it is likely that there will be an influx in people looking to have their records reset in CA. It will lead to bottlenecks in the court system and a queue time which will open up the need for a california expungement lawyer to help assist with expediting the process by filling in the necessary paperwork to get it done.
